BRIEF
Through testing and experimentation with a certain cellulose material, design a cellulose take away packaging for a hypothetical client with consideration to their design language.
SUMMARY
The project started with a collective group effort to examine the properties and possibilities of the special cellulose paper material. Then, the task was to select a category of dining, research the design language used, and create a takeaway packaging suitable for that dining experience.
The results of cellulose testing and research were presented on a laser-engraved wood board.  Most of the testing was carried out using a hydraulic press, combining materials and methods to create new interesting results.
It was determined that the material could easily hold its shape when being pressed into a mold (unlike one of the two most commonly used packaging materials, cardboard). It also combined well with plastic (or organic alternatives) to waterproof the material.
After some initial prototyping with some thin cardboard, which had similar properties, i decided it would be more interesting to work with the ability to mold the cellulose.

I also decided to aim the product at the exclusive dining market. My idea was to create a takeaway packaging which contained the complete experience of dining at an exclusive restaurant.

To make it possible, it would need to be simple and elegant, but also modular to adapt to the specific contents such as a glass and beveridge, and food and cutlery.
